Ao Ban Khai starts where the Had Rin hills stop and is part of the long unbroken stretch of beach that runs all the way up to Thong Sala. The town has grown to accommodate these visitors and Had Rin has a great variety or restaurants, accommodation and nightlife options. Ao Hin Kong has a 2 Km beach that is mostly undeveloped, the southern section is only five or so metres from the road, thus there are only a couple of bungalows operations mainly renting to long-termers. The coral reef lies about 400 metres off the beach, and in low tidal season (April to November), swimming on the beach side of the reef is not always possible. The beach is not very wide if the tide is in, and the southern section is not great for sunbathing as it?s home to Had Rin Pier and debris clutters the beach in places.
